The beloved chicken sandwich maker will flip the switch on its Selden location at 6:30 a.m. on April 1. You can get your hands on those hand-breaded fillets and enjoy a few local firsts at 949 Middle Country Road: The Selden Chick-fil-A will be the first restaurant in New York to offer spicy chicken strips and will have the distinction of being a dual drive-thru.
The new Chick-fil-A will have many of the same service styles as its predecessor. They will offer three ways for customers to enjoy their food: dine-in, drive-thru, and carry-out. The restaurant will operate an ambitious schedule six days a week, from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., during which time it will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Stan Abrahamsen owns the Selden Chick-fil-A franchise. Abrahamsen has lived a long time in Suffolk County. He introduced the Chick-fil-A brand to Long Island with the Port Jefferson Station location in 2015. Abrahamsen is committed to fostering a culture that is second to none in being welcoming and service-driven. He also supports the personal and professional growth of his team members.
Now with eleven locations on Long Island, including the Selden restaurant, Chick-fil-A boasts:
- Port Jefferson Station
- Smithtown
- Commack
- Huntington
- Farmingville
Chick-fil-A is not stopping its growth in new markets. They have definite plans to open several more locations on Long Island. The company announced that in addition to the Westbury site, it will build restaurants this year in:
- West Babylon
- Riverhead
- Medford
- Lake Ronkonkoma
- East Meadow
The company has not specified exactly when these restaurants will open.
With the presence of Chick-fil-A continuing to grow on Long Island, the Selden opening marks yet another milestone for the community as it welcomes the fast-food giant, long famous for its ability to go beyond the usual assembly-line experience and actually serve customers.
